Birth Chart - The Astrological Chart

The dynamics of our lives can be better understood by interpreting and understanding the astrological patterns and symbols in our astrological charts. These astrological charts are known as the Birth Charts. Three main things make a birth chart - the zodiac signs, planets, twelve houses.

The main planets denoted in the western chart are Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn.  The Sun Sign, Moon Sign and the Ascendant are some of the main aspects of your natal chart.

 

The planets denoted in the Vedic Astrology birth chart are Sun or Surya, Moon or Chandra, Mars or Mangala, Mercury or Budha, Venus or Shukra, Jupiter or Guru, Saturn or Shani, Rahu or North Node, Ketu or South Node.

 

There are 12 houses and 12 signs in a person’s natal chart. The time of birth and place of birth are of utmost importance for all calculations. The sign at the eastern horizon is known as the Ascendant or the rising sign. This sign along with its ruling planet is what influences a person's horoscope the most.

The positions of planets in other signs denote several aspects such as childhood as well as family life, brothers and sisters, emotions, kids, enemies and friends, innermost sentiments, fate, vocation, financial resources and losses. In order to make the horoscope sensible and useful as well, it is extremely important that the position of the ruling planets of each house of the birth chart is accurately calculated.

The birth chart of an individual gives a clear insight of the person - his personality, his characteristic traits, his habits, his strengths and weaknesses and tells many other things about him. Thus, it is nothing but a perfect guiding set of information of how an individual should act to reach his pre-set goal.

 

 

The astrological chart is however, unchangeable. Birth charts are a set of symbolic language, the meaning of which needs to be understood and acted upon.
